My first sculptural work, ‘A History Of Nonsense’. Cold-cast bronze with wool and resin.
New wall at Ely’s Yard, Old Truman Brewery in East London. Painted under the constant gaze of the weekend crowds for the Moniker Art Fair.
New screen print in production
My working process is no doubt much the same as yours and the same as many other people. The artistic process seems to be mythologized quite a lot into something far greater than it actually is. It is just hard labor… As anyone who actually writes knows, if you sit down and are prepared, then the ideas come. There’s a lot of different ways people explain that, but, you know, I find that if I sit down and I prepare myself, generally things get done.
Finally managed to get a decent photo of mine and Fin DAC’s second mural from the other week, The Raven & The Rose.
Fin Dac and I collaborated on a new mural in London, dubbed ‘Dark Angel, Deadly Dragon’.
Lovely new books. Instantly in my ‘incredible covers’ pile.
My first wall in 4 years. Scrapped the stencils for this one and just chalked it out before filling it in with emulsion and spray paint. There’s a lot that I’m not happy with, but it was great to get back outside, experimenting and learning. Lots to keep in mind for the next wall.
